• Location: Bloomington, IL 61701 - central Illinois healthcare setting with a welcoming community and convenient local amenities

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; rotating weekends and holidays
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 3-4 patients per nurse
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: One day with the education team plus one day of floor orientation

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of acute care nursing or stepdown nursing experience
• Ability to read telemetry strips confidently
• Comfort working with chest tubes
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience caring for complex medical and cardiac patients preferred
• Willingness to float to ICU or general medical units as needed based on experience level

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled patient care for individuals with cardiac, respiratory, neuro, surgical, and medical diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Care for patients with devices and treatments such as BiPAP, CPAP, trachs, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, and central lines
• Support patients recovering from procedures such as ablations and cath lab interventions
• Administer medications and manage patient documentation using EPIC and Pyxis systems
• Float as needed to other units within the scope of your experience
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
