Travel Nurse Job Details

- Schedule: 36- or 48-hour weekly option
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Required as part of the contract
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Census: Approximately 14
- Bed Count: 15
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced obstetric setting
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
- Strong background in labor support, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care
- Ability to provide care for neonates and adults in an LDRP environment
- Must be comfortable with weekend coverage and scheduled contract expectations
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk births
- Support newborn assessment, stabilization, and early postpartum education
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other support services
- Provide patient and family education related to labor, delivery, newborn care, and recovery
- Maintain a calm, efficient approach in a busy unit with varied acuity and strong teamwork
