• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Float Requirement: May float to critical care or med-surg/telemetry based on census needs
• Charting System: Cerner experience preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Prior PCU, telemetry, stepdown, or ICU experience strongly preferred
• ACLS and BLS required
• TNCC or TCAR required within 30 days of start
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Must be comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting
• Must be willing to float to critical care or med-surg/telemetry as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to PCU, telemetry, and critical care patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, dysrhythmias, and hemodynamic changes
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, IV therapy, and continuous bedside monitoring
• Administer and titrate cardiac, vasoactive, and insulin drips as ordered
• Support patients with respiratory needs, including BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Perform ongoing assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient care
• Float to critical care or med-surg/telemetry units when census requires
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner charting system
• Deliver excellent nursing care in a newly opened, high-acuity progressive care environment
