• Position: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
• Location: Charlotte, NC 28204
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 18:45 - 07:15
• Assignment Length: 20 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,030 - $2,130
• Setting: Labor & Delivery / Delivery Room
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating: May float within the women’s unit as needed
• Call: Not required
• Charting: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a compact state; pending license may be accepted for submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; 3 years preferred for this high-volume unit
• Experience in a fast-paced setting with 300+ births per month strongly preferred
• Ability to care for high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or AWHONN Advanced
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and perform sterile vaginal exams
• Comfort with immediate newborn care and obstetrical triage
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Open to floating within or near the facility as needed
• Must be able to work required holidays and comply with pre-approved time off guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside care to obstetrical patients across triage, labor, delivery, and postpartum settings
• Support scheduled and unscheduled C-sections and assist with circulating in the OR
• Monitor, assess, and respond to high-risk maternal and fetal conditions
• Perform sterile vaginal exams, fetal surveillance support, and oxytocin challenge testing as appropriate
• Deliver immediate newborn care and respond to neonatal emergencies when needed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to maintain safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Document care accurately in Epic and communicate clearly using SBAR
• Adapt quickly to a busy, high-acuity women’s health environment with multiple labor assignments
