Travel RN opportunity in Seattle, WA: Join a dynamic cardiac stepdown team supporting adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity telemetry environment. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the chance to care for patients recovering from open-heart surgery, managing complex cardiac conditions, and supporting specialized post-procedure care in Seattle’s 98122 area, a vibrant Pacific Northwest setting with the energy of a major city.

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
• Setting: Adult cardiac stepdown / telemetry unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:4, with occasional 1:5 at midnight
• Start Date: 10/19/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry nursing or cardiac stepdown RN experience
• Travel nurse experience required; not open to first-time travelers
• Epic charting experience required
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong background in surgical telemetry, open-heart recovery, and vascular care preferred
• Ability to manage chest tubes, radial/groin band care, dysrhythmias, and cardiac monitoring
• Flexibility to float to like units as needed
• Ability to work every other weekend and select holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to cardiac stepdown patients with MI, arrhythmias, heart failure, stroke involvement, and post-operative cardiac conditions
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Care for patients recovering from open-heart, vascular, and cath lab procedures
• Manage chest tubes, sternal precautions, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway support
• Administer and monitor blood products, drips, and cardiac medications per unit protocols
• Support procedural recovery including pacer management, cardioversion/defibrillation, and post-cath care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to like units to support patient care needs and unit coverage
