Job Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of telemetry nursing or related specialty experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Active Kentucky RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with pre-cardiac cath care and port management required
• Ability to care for adult telemetry and observation patients with varying acuity
• Strong communication skills and comfort in a float-capable RN role
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with approved medical or religious exemption only
• Influenza vaccination required per policy

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult telemetry and observation patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Care for ED boarders awaiting inpatient placement who require ongoing hospital-level nursing care
• Support patients in observation and med/surg telemetry units as needed
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and care coordination
• Manage ports and assist with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient updates accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, efficient patient flow
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with unit-specific policies and procedures
