Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Setting: Labor & Delivery / Mother-Baby / Obstetrics
• Location: Winfield, Kansas
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3x12 schedule
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Floating: May be required to float to another unit as needed
• Scheduling: Block scheduling may be considered case by case

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with Centricity preferred
• Comfort working in a critical access hospital environment
• Ability to provide one professional reference
• COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk obstetric cases
• Perform fetal monitoring, NSTs, sterile vaginal exams, and reflex assessments
• Support antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care with a patient-centered approach
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and obstetrical interventions as needed
• Respond to obstetric changes and collaborate with the care team to promote safe outcomes
• Assist with procedures such as amnioinfusion, cervical cerclage support, and recovery care
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the birth experience
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
