Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Saint Johnsbury, VT

This Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse travel assignment is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN who enjoys caring for adult patients with occasional pediatric cases in a dynamic Med/Surg setting.

Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical RN)
• Location: Saint Johnsbury, Vermont 05819
• Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical unit serving adult patients with occasional pediatric care
• Start Date: October 14, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours per week, including every other weekend
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
• Position Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Openings: 2

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience
• Current Vermont RN license or multistate RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Ability to care for adult patients, with occasional pediatric needs as part of a general Med/Surg unit
• Flu vaccination required
• Reliable personal transportation recommended for this rural Vermont location

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and occasional pediatric patients in a Medical-Surgical setting
• Coordinate patient care using the nursing process and sound clinical judgment
• Deliver care across medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric service lines as needed
• Collaborate with the charge nurse, nursing supervisor, and interdisciplinary care team to support safe patient outcomes
• Address patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs with professionalism and empathy
• Maintain clear documentation and support a smooth, efficient workflow during night shifts
• Participate in a team-oriented environment focused on quality care and patient satisfaction
