• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 4x12 night shifts; option for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620-$1,700
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Patient Population: Adult critical care
• Floating: May float to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU as needed
• Weekend Requirement: Weekends required
• Experience Level: First-time travel nurses welcome

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or compact license eligibility; pending NM/compact license accepted if obtained before start
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong critical care skill set, including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, and arterial line care
• Experience with central lines, chest tubes, blood product administration, ABG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Comfortable caring for adult patients with complex, multisystem needs
• Willingness to float to like units within scope of practice

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality bedside care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Monitor hemodynamic status, assess patient changes, and respond quickly to evolving needs
• Manage ventilators, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, and airway support interventions
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol
• Provide care for patients with arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and chest tubes
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and accurate documentation throughout the shift
• Float to stepdown, PCU, ER, MS, or CVICU when needed, within scope and with appropriate support
