• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:30 - 07:00)
• Weekly Schedule: 36- or 48-hour options available
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Unit Census: Approximately 10 patients per day
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; pending New Mexico or Compact license accepted prior to start
• 1+ year of acute care or CVICU nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
• Experience in a high-acuity critical care or cardiovascular ICU environment strongly preferred
• Comfortable floating to like units within scope, as needed
• All requested time off must be submitted with the application

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based patient care in the CVICU
• Monitor and respond to complex cardiac and hemodynamic changes
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications per protocol
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, ventilated patients, and advanced cardiac support devices as appropriate
• Provide care for post-cardiac surgery and other high-acuity critical care patients
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary care team members
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards
• Adapt to unit needs and support floating assignments within clinical scope when required
