• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours
• Shift Pattern: 4 shifts per week; option for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,700 - $1,790
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Schedule Type: Self-scheduling with rotating weekend coverage as needed
• Orientation: Includes onsite unit orientation
• Float Requirement: May float to like units within scope as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New Mexico or Compact state eligibility prior to start
• At least 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, or cardiac nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Strong cardiovascular nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS required
• CPI preferred
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Ability to work nights and provide safe care in a fast-paced cardiac stepdown environment
• Comfortable with travel assignment expectations and floating to similar units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU and cardiac stepdown patients with CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and other cardiovascular conditions
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to support timely clinical interventions
• Administer and manage cardiac medications, drips, and IV therapies per unit protocols
• Care for patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway support
• Perform assessments, document care accurately in Epic, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and other progressive care nursing needs
• Support post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI, pre/post cardiac cath, and post-cardiac surgery patients
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered care environment while following unit protocols and best practices
