• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday; flexibility to float to like units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of stepdown, telemetry, or ICU nursing experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• CPI preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced intermediate care environment
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Ability to float to like units when needed
• First-time travelers will be considered

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor telemetry, assess patient status, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies according to unit protocols
• Support patients recovering from CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, DKA, stroke, and post-surgical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner PowerChart
• Assist with patient flow and float to like units based on staffing and census needs
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while promoting excellent patient outcomes
