- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 19:00 - 07:30
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Charting System: Epic required
- Schedule Notes: Variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; first-time travelers welcome
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent MICU or comparable critical care nursing experience
- Current, consistent acute care experience within the last 12 months required
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Strong experience with ventilators and IV starts
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Ability to work with complex, hemodynamically unstable patients
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred/required
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled bedside care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Monitor and manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, CRRT, arterial lines, and cardiac monitoring
- Administer complex medications, titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips, and support hemodynamic stability
- Assist with procedures such as central line care, chest tube management, and pulmonary artery catheter monitoring
- Support patients with diagnoses including sepsis, ARDS, COPD, pneumonia, GI bleed, and oncologic emergencies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team
- Follow infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety protocols at all times
