• Shift Options: 4x12s without call or 3x12s with call, depending on assignment needs
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic
• Unit Highlights: 41-bed NICU with a daily census of 38
• Floating: May be asked to float to other qualified NICU units or facilities as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in South Carolina
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required; 2 years preferred
• Experience in NICU II and NICU III care required
• At least 1 year of Epic experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• No first-time travelers
• Strong experience with high-acuity neonatal care, specialized equipment, and complex patient populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for neonates with complex medical and surgical needs in a high-acuity NICU
• Monitor and manage infants requiring respiratory support, cooling therapy, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care
• Care for newborns affected by prematurity, sepsis, hypoglycemia, drug exposure, and congenital anomalies
• Administer medications, blood products, and specialized neonatal therapies as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, family-centered care
• Use advanced NICU equipment and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
• Educate and support families throughout the newborn care experience
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a busy neonatal intensive care environment
