• Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

• Orientation: 12 hours
• Setting: High-risk Labor & Delivery
• Patient Care Focus: Antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum support, and maternal emergencies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license with compact license in hand at submission, if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics, antepartum care, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, and VBAC/TOLAC
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented acute care environment
• Willingness to float to Mother/Baby or other areas within the facility as needed
• Availability for some weekend shifts and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, including fetal heart rate patterns and labor progression
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk obstetric procedures
• Support induction and augmentation of labor, VBAC/TOLAC management, and maternal stabilization
• Respond to maternal emergencies and support interventions such as magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and hemorrhage management
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary support teams
• Educate patients and families throughout the birth process and postpartum recovery
• Adapt to floating assignments as needed while maintaining excellent patient care standards
