Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in a compact or state-eligible state
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Experience supporting labor, postpartum, and couplet care
• Comfort providing basic med-surg care for hysterectomy patients
• Experience with antepartum, postpartum, OB, and fetal monitoring preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Current FHM, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certifications required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Epic experience strongly preferred
• Updated professional references required at submission
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation required, with approved exemption options available

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and couplet care patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, including external fetal monitoring and fetal heart rate assessment
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean section support, and related obstetric procedures
• Care for postpartum patients and newborns, including routine assessments and patient education
• Support patients with inductions, preeclampsia management, and other high-risk obstetric conditions
• Provide safe, effective care for hysterectomy patients as needed
• Deliver discharge teaching, family support, and education throughout the care experience
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support excellent maternal and newborn outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit protocols for safe patient care
• Adapt to evolving unit needs while delivering compassionate, dependable bedside nursing
