• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Day shift coverage with rotating weekday on-call after 9:30 p.m. and weekend call rotation
• Location: North Chesterfield, VA 23235
• Healthcare Setting: Busy PACU with a strong team-oriented culture

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of nursing experience; PACU nursing experience or ICU experience strongly preferred
• Strong neuro background in acute care or perioperative recovery
• Ventilator competency required
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing a variety of patient acuity levels, including pediatric patients

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care as a PACU Registered Nurse
• Monitor patients with varying acuity levels, including unstable ICU patients and pediatric recovery cases
• Support ventilator management and advanced patient monitoring in the post-op setting
• Set up PCA pumps and assist with drip titration as clinically appropriate
• Perform arterial line blood draws and other post-operative nursing care tasks
• Collaborate closely with the care team to ensure safe patient flow and efficient recovery
• Document patient care accurately and maintain clear communication throughout the shift
