• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)

• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680-$1,770
• Schedule Notes: Variable weekends; standby/call flexibility is highly preferred during low census periods; optional overtime may be available

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
• Level III or Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred
• Active RN license eligible for work in Tennessee
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• Current STABLE certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain flexibility with scheduling needs
• Comfort working in a high-acuity neonatal setting with limited support staff

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU
• Perform PIV insertion, feeding tube insertion, lab draws, and straight catheterization as indicated
• Manage central lines and support airway and respiratory care in collaboration with respiratory therapy
• Assist the provider team with intubation, surfactant administration, central line placement, and chest tube placement
• Monitor patients closely and adjust care based on changing acuity and clinical needs
• Document care accurately using unit-based electronic charting systems
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture that supports excellent neonatal outcomes
