• Position: Travel Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
• Employment Type: Travel assignment

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Estimated Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Float: May be asked to float within scope to ICU and PCU
• Schedule Notes: 3x12-hour shifts per week

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Neuro ICU or closely related critical care setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong experience caring for patients with stroke, post-craniotomy, and neuro trauma diagnoses
• Comfort with high-acuity monitoring and complex critical care interventions
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Experience with electronic charting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive, and patient-centered care to adult and geriatric neurocritical care patients
• Monitor and manage patients with strokes, neuro trauma, and post-neurosurgical conditions
• Perform and support advanced ICU care including arterial line management, central line care, and ventilator support
• Assist with neuro-specific procedures such as EVD placements, lumbar taps, and intubation support
• Interpret hemodynamic and neurological data to respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, radiology, pharmacy, and other support teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
• Float within scope to support unit needs while maintaining excellent standards of care
