• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekends as needed, first to float
• Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,400 - $2,530
• Orientation: 4 shifts on unit
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Call: No call required
• Floating: May float to nearby Treasure Valley sites within the primary skill set
• Openings: 2

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 1+ year of Labor & Delivery experience considered; 3+ years strongly preferred
• Mother-baby and postpartum experience preferred
• Open to first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE
• Experience with magnesium therapy and titratable drips
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends as needed
• Comfortable using Epic charting software
• Charge nurse experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to comply with unit policies, including hospital-issued scrubs and no acrylic or gel nails

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
• Attend deliveries and provide immediate newborn care during the first hour of life
• Circulate and recover C-sections in a fast-paced maternity care setting
• Perform triage assessments and support labor management
• Deliver postpartum couplet care with a focus on family-centered care
• Monitor and titrate medications per protocol, including Pitocin, magnesium, and occasional insulin drips
• Support a diverse obstetric patient population with a wide range of clinical needs
• Collaborate closely with charge nurses, resource nurses, and triage nurses to maintain safe staffing and smooth patient flow
• Provide stabilization and assessment support for newborns as needed
• Float to other nearby Treasure Valley sites within the same skill set when assigned
