Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Active Registered Nurse license in Oregon
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 1 year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or Interventional Radiology
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, moderate sedation support, and procedural patient monitoring
• Ability to work effectively with patients across all age groups and diverse backgrounds
• BSN preferred
• Interventional Radiology, cath lab, monitor role, and conscious sedation experience preferred
• RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, and IV certification preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing angiography, embolization, cardiac catheterization, and other minimally invasive procedures
• Support the procedural team in circulating, scrubbing, monitoring, and peri-procedure nursing roles as needed
• Administer medications including anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, contrast, and emergency medications per protocol
• Maintain sterile technique and assist physicians during invasive procedures
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, oxygenation, ventilation, and patient response during moderate sedation
• Recognize and respond quickly to complications such as bleeding, arrhythmia, contrast reactions, stroke alerts, and cardiac arrest
• Assist with patient preparation, identification, procedure verification, timeout processes, and vascular access management
• Document supplies, implants, contrast usage, procedural events, and patient responses accurately
• Support inventory organization, room turnover, and equipment readiness to help keep the department running efficiently
• Serve as a patient advocate while promoting safe, high-quality care throughout the procedure
