- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NIHSS certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring, neuro assessment, and adult/geriatric patient care
- Ability to work night shift and manage a 1:6 patient assignment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care on a high-acuity medical-surgical unit
- Care for patients with neurological, stroke, seizure, and neurosurgical diagnoses
- Monitor telemetry and pulse oximetry for early recognition of changes in patient condition
- Perform focused neuro assessments and support stroke recovery and secondary prevention
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments in accordance with nursing standards
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote optimal outcomes
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
- Respond appropriately to patient changes, escalation needs, and rapid response situations
