• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week, with a 48-hour option available
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As scheduled
• Floating: Required within specialty
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,110

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience preferred; strong 1 year candidates may be considered
• First-time travelers welcome with strong emergency nursing experience
• Community hospital Emergency Department experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency setting
• Comfortable caring for patients from neonates through geriatrics

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Perform triage, assessment, monitoring, and ongoing patient evaluation in a busy Emergency Department
• Administer emergency medications and perform time-sensitive interventions as needed
• Manage complex cases involving cardiac, respiratory, neurological, trauma, behavioral health, and medical emergencies
• Support procedures including IV placement, blood product administration, procedural sedation monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other support teams to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain safe patient flow while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Document care accurately and efficiently using the facility’s charting system
• Promote a positive, team-oriented atmosphere focused on patient safety and high-quality outcomes
