• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts; 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every 6th weekend as needed
• Holiday Requirement: No major holidays
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750-$2,890

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license and current clinical competency in Med/Surg, acute inpatient care, or medical-surgical nursing
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Strong knowledge of Med/Surg patterns of practice and acute inpatient care methods
• Ability to assess physical and mental impairment, illness characteristics, and expected treatment plans
• Understanding of benefits, plan contracts, eligibility issues, and coverage requirements
• Experience with care management and utilization management preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• CCM or a related certification preferred
• Willingness to float as needed based on unit needs

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate patient care needs in a collaborative acute care setting
• Support patients with efficient length-of-stay management and appropriate use of healthcare resources
• Determine medical necessity and admission appropriateness using screening tools and inpatient guidelines
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, effective patient care
• Help coordinate services and available resources to support quality, cost-effective outcomes
• Apply strong clinical judgment to complex inpatient cases and care transitions
• Maintain flexibility to float based on changing unit needs
