• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend (Saturday/Sunday) as needed

• Float Requirement: May float to sister units as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU nursing
• Current RN license in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification through AHA
• Epic EMR experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity surgical recovery environment
• Experience caring for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and overall post-operative recovery
• Support pre-op, post-op, and PACU patient flow with efficient clinical coordination
• Communicate and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the care team
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate care when needed
• Assist with occasional floating to sister units based on patient needs and volume shifts
