Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of experience in Telemetry, Progressive Care, PCU, or a similar acute care setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Telemetry experience required
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to manage cardiac and respiratory concerns
• Preferred qualifications include NIH Stroke certification, PALS, ICU, Tele, or additional PCU experience
• Team-oriented, engaged, and self-motivated approach to patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to PCU patients with cardiac and telemetry needs
• Perform respiratory and cardiac assessments and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer blood transfusions and support IV access needs, including line management
• Care for high fall-risk patients while maintaining a safe, organized patient environment
• Monitor telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry to support timely clinical decision-making
• Collaborate with the care team to promote positive patient outcomes and efficient unit flow
• Float as needed to related med-surg, telemetry, PCU, or ED hold areas
