Join a busy, high-acuity Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse travel contract in Abington, PA, where you’ll support an established team caring for mothers and newborns in a collaborative, high-volume environment. This L&D travel nurse job offers the chance to work in a well-equipped unit with strong interdisciplinary support, a strong delivery volume, and the energy of a regional transfer center. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend, with at least 8 weekend shifts during the contract
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling model; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 1-2
• On-Call: None

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification
• BSN required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Strong clinical skills in high-risk obstetrics and labor support
• Ability to work nights and meet weekend coverage expectations
• Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced maternal-child health unit

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality maternal and newborn nursing care in Labor & Delivery
• Monitor labor progress and support safe, patient-centered births
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk obstetric cases
• Care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and triage patients
• Support fetal monitoring, newborn assessment, and emergency response as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiology, NICU, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Promote a safe and reassuring environment for patients and families
• Follow unit protocols and contribute to efficient, team-based care delivery
