Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel) – Southeastern Massachusetts OR RN Job

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,320 - $2,440
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Call: Required on weekdays and weekends
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
• Case Volume: Approximately 25 cases per day

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required
• Active Massachusetts RN license in hand
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Strong orthopedic experience required; must be comfortable circulating all orthopedic cases, including arthroscopies and total joint procedures
• Experience with Epic or Cerner preferred, especially for first-time travelers
• Ability to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Availability for weekday and weekend call coverage is essential
• COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
• Flu vaccination required with medical exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Circulate a wide variety of surgical cases in the operating room
• Provide safe, efficient intraoperative nursing support for orthopedic and other surgical specialties
• Support a diverse case mix, including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, cysto, ophthalmology, ENT, podiatry, vascular, neuro, and thoracic procedures
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, surgical workflow, and teamwork throughout each shift
• Participate in scheduled weekday and weekend call coverage
• Document accurately and use medication systems efficiently
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative staff to ensure smooth case flow and excellent patient care
