Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / High-Risk Obstetrics in Abington, PA

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070–$2,180
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Setting: Labor & Delivery / High-Risk Obstetrics
• Location: Abington, PA
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Call: No call required
• Floating: No floating
• Charting: Epic
• Unit Highlights: High-volume Labor & Delivery unit with 21 beds, an 8-bed triage area, 3 ORs, and a 3-bay PACU

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification
• BSN required
• Strong experience with fetal monitoring, triage, and high-risk obstetric care
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume women’s health environment
• Ability to support a patient ratio of 1:2

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
• Support triage, antepartum, and postpartum patients as needed
• Perform nursing interventions such as medication administration, IV management, and monitoring labor progression
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and help ensure smooth patient flow in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
• Promote a positive, family-centered birth experience while prioritizing safety and quality patient care
