Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Attleboro, MA

Travel Labor & Delivery RN opportunity in Attleboro, Massachusetts for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong fetal monitoring, labor support, and newborn care skills. Join a collaborative mother-baby team in a supportive 15-bed L&D unit with access to Providence and coastal New England.

• Healthcare Setting: 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit with inpatient rooming-in for infants
• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Shifts Per Week: 4
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
• Assignment Length: 6 weeks
• Patient Population: Neonates and adults
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Charting/Medication System: OmniCell
• Communication Style: SBAR

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Beginner required; AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate preferred
• Experience with fetal monitoring, labor support, and newborn care strongly preferred
• Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced mother-baby and postpartum environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• COVID-19 vaccination required; flu vaccination required with medical exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum support
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring as indicated
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean recovery, and common Labor & Delivery procedures
• Support newborn care and rooming-in workflows for mothers and infants
• Recognize and respond to changes in maternal or fetal condition with confidence and urgency
• Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, obstetric teams, and interdisciplinary staff to promote excellent outcomes
• Deliver patient education on labor, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding support, and newborn care
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively using SBAR
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on quality care
