• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
• Contract Length: 11 weeks
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4 on days, 1:5 on nights, 1:4 on weekends
• Call: No on-call required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Setting: High-acuity 30-bed adult cardiac step-down unit
• Start Date: 10/12/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, step-down, telemetry, or cardiac nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Strong experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience with cardiac medications and infusions such as amiodarone, Cardizem, and dobutamine
• Ability to manage complex adult patients with strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers may be considered
• Active Indiana nursing license required by start date; pending license may be accepted at submission
• Ability to float within scope based on staffing and census needs
• Compliance with required pre-start screenings and onboarding steps

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult patients in a Progressive Care Unit and cardiac step-down setting
• Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage cardiac drips, IV infusions, and complex medication protocols
• Care for patients with heart failure, atrial fibrillation, post-cardiothoracic surgery needs, AICDs, and pacemakers
• Support patients requiring respiratory support, wound care, line management, and advanced PCU interventions
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Deliver safe, compassionate care while maintaining strong attention to detail in a high-acuity adult care environment
• Float within scope as needed to meet facility and patient care needs
