Job Details

• Location: Omak, Washington
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery / OB Unit in a critical access hospital
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Start Date: 12/7/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Floating: As needed within scope
• Scheduling: Block scheduling may be discussed during interview

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cerner electronic health record experience required
• Critical access hospital experience required
• BLS and NRP required; NRP may be obtained after offer but before start date
• ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
• References required
• Comfort working nights, weekends, and occasional floating as needed
• Experience in a low-volume unit with a strong focus on patient safety, teamwork, and compassionate care

Labor & Delivery Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout the Labor & Delivery process
• Monitor patients during labor, delivery, and recovery, responding quickly to changes in condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and newborn assessments
• Start and maintain IVs, administer vaccines, and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Document accurately in Cerner and support smooth unit workflow
• Collaborate with physicians, OB providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
• Adapt to a small, community-focused environment while maintaining excellent clinical standards
