Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Mother/Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum
• Location: Seattle, WA 98122
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Duration: 13 or 26 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s, traveler choice
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend days per contract
• Floating: Required to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery areas as needed
• Charting System: Epic required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Compact RN license in hand at submission, if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in high-acuity postpartum, mother/baby, or couplet care
• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients strongly preferred
• BLS and NRP required
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Strong experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Foley care, postpartum hemorrhage, and substance withdrawal care
• Ability to safely manage up to 4 couplets when census surges
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
• Must be flexible to float between assigned units and nearby sister locations when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns after delivery
• Monitor couplets closely and support safe, family-centered recovery
• Assess fundus, lochia, perineum, incision sites, and overall postpartum status
• Administer and monitor medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
• Recognize and respond to postpartum complications such as hemorrhage and withdrawal symptoms
• Support patients with vaginal and cesarean recovery needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Adapt quickly to census changes and provide safe care in a high-volume hospital environment
