Job Details
- Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Lansing, Michigan
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Duration: 15 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; weekends required
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
- Floating: May float to Pediatric ED if needed
- On Call: No
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required by the start date
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Level I trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS required
- ENPC preferred
- Ability to manage dysrhythmias and work in a high-acuity emergency care environment
- Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with high patient volumes
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a busy ED setting
- Assess, triage, monitor, and treat patients with urgent and emergent healthcare needs
- Support trauma, stroke, cardiac, pediatric, and general emergency cases
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and other time-sensitive clinical changes
- Administer IV medications, blood products, and procedural sedation as appropriate
- Assist with trauma interventions, rapid assessments, and emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Work effectively in a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department with changing patient needs
- Float to Pediatric ED when needed and support safe, efficient patient flow
