We are seeking a confident, adaptable Operating Room RN or Perioperative Nurse who thrives in a collaborative surgical setting and is ready to contribute to excellent patient care across a broad range of specialties. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,270 - $2,400
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Weekend Coverage: 4 off-shifts per 6-week schedule
• On-Call: 4 calls per 6-week period with a 1-hour response time
• Holiday Requirement: Required as scheduled
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Charting System: Epic preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact license at time of submission
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• CNOR preferred
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment
• Comfortable with weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as assigned
• Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Assist with a broad range of surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, thoracic, vascular, pediatric, urologic, gynecologic, ENT, and robotic cases
• Maintain sterile technique and uphold surgical safety standards throughout each case
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Prepare the OR for cases, manage instruments and supplies, and support turnover efficiency
• Monitor patients closely during procedures and respond appropriately to intraoperative needs
• Follow infection prevention, specimen handling, and universal protocol procedures
• Float within scope as needed and remain flexible to changing unit needs
• Contribute to a positive, professional team environment focused on quality patient care
