• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 10 hour days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,270 - $2,400
• Call Requirement: 4 calls per 6-week period with a 1-hour response time
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage required as scheduled
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Additional Notes: First-time travelers are welcome

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state license at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred or strongly valued
• CPI certification may be required for compliance
• At least 1 year of operating room nursing experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must be comfortable floating within scope when needed
• Ability to work in a high-volume surgical environment with diverse case types

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Support a broad range of surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, spine, vascular, thoracic, gynecologic, urologic, pediatric, and robotic cases
• Prepare the OR, assist with instrumentation, and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to intraoperative needs and emergencies
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Float within scope as needed to support patient care operations
