Job Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania RN license
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Valid NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in high-acuity and urgent care situations

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients entering the Emergency Department and prioritizing care based on acuity
• Performing comprehensive assessments and documenting patient history, symptoms, and chief complaints
• Developing and implementing individualized plans of care based on ongoing reassessments
• Ensuring supplies and equipment are ready, functional, and available for emergency patient care
• Managing complications and emergencies in accordance with department policies and ENA standards
• Recognizing changes in patient condition and responding quickly to protect patient safety
• Educating patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Documenting patient responses to interventions and supporting continuity of care
• Providing compassionate emergency nursing care to patients from neonate through geriatric populations
