• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Start Date: 11/2/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every 3rd weekend; rotating holidays
• Call: No call
• Float Requirements: Float to similar Med/Surg units as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Equipment: Pyxis
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with drains preferred
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical assessment skills
• Flexible, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Comfortable caring for post-op surgical patients and overflow medical patients
• Ability to work effectively in a Medical-Surgical nursing setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to post-surgical and Med/Surg patients
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Care for post-op patients, including general surgery and bariatric cases
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Support patient recovery with prompt interventions and strong clinical follow-through
• Assist with drains and other routine post-operative nursing care
• Promote a positive patient experience through advocacy, communication, and bedside support
• Float to similar Medical-Surgical units based on unit needs
