• Position: Women’s Health Registered Nurse
• Location: Richmond, VA 23226
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Typical Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Setting: Women’s Health / Obstetrics / Antepartum
• Environment: High-acuity unit supporting antepartum, postpartum, gynecologic, and neonatal care

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse experience required
• Antepartum nursing experience, including fetal monitoring, required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred upon hire; must be obtained before direct patient care if not already held
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred at hire; must be obtained within 3 months if required
• Electronic fetal monitoring certification preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health record preferred
• Recent OB, ED, or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication, assessment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a high-acuity women’s health environment with variable patient needs

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for women during pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and related gynecologic conditions
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, prioritize care, and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor fetal status and support electronic fetal monitoring as appropriate
• Administer medications safely and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management for mother/fetal dyads when needed
• Educate patients and families on self-care, newborn care, discharge planning, and follow-up needs
• Assist with breastfeeding support and patient/family teaching
• Provide compassionate care to patients with high-acuity conditions, including complex pregnancies and maternal complications
• Maintain a calm, professional approach in fast-paced or high-stress situations
• Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes through collaboration and clinical expertise
