You will support a multi-room operating suite, help maintain smooth surgical flow, and contribute to a positive patient experience from pre-op through procedure completion.

Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870-$1,970
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Rotating weekday/night and weekend call coverage
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Location: Live Oak, TX, in the northeast San Antonio area with convenient access to shopping, dining, and city amenities
• Environment: Operating room and perioperative care setting with a variety of surgical cases

Job Requirements

• Active RN license required
• At least 1 year of recent OR circulator experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Ability to fulfill rotating call, including at least one night per week and one weekend every 5 weeks minimum
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, compassion, and a positive attitude
• Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, or thoracic surgery preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide circulating nurse support in the operating room
• Prepare the OR and assist with efficient surgical case flow
• Monitor patient safety throughout the perioperative experience
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, surgical technologists, anesthesia, and the broader perioperative team
• Support a range of surgical procedures while maintaining high standards of care
• Document patient care and case activity accurately according to unit workflow
• Participate in rotating call coverage as scheduled
