Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Epic electronic health record charting experience required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to Medical-Surgical patients with a variety of complex conditions
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Monitor and support patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, trauma, AKI, diabetes, post-op care, and respiratory failure
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated, high-quality healthcare
• Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a busy, fast-paced acute care environment
• Support patient safety, quality outcomes, and effective communication across shifts
