Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in the CVICU or a closely related critical care specialty
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference from the specialty within the past 12 months
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts as needed to support unit coverage
• Ability to work at least every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to CVICU patients with complex, high-acuity cardiovascular needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize clinical changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments in alignment with critical care nursing best practices
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards at all times
• Adapt to a fast-paced cardiac ICU environment while delivering high-quality care during rotating shifts
