Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry, Telemetry Nursing, or a closely related acute care specialty
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience caring for monitored telemetry patients in a hospital or acute care setting
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and every other holiday as needed
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference from the specialty within the past 12 months
• Travel nurses must meet all pre-start compliance and onboarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Support a patient population that may include floating to similar units with the same level of acuity
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication in a rotating-shift hospital environment
