• Orientation: 36 hours
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling
• Weekend Coverage: Some weekends required; 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Float/Call: Float within the organization as needed; call required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), stepdown, IMC, or mixed-acuity nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills preferred
• Ability to work independently in a progressive care or stepdown setting
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
• Willingness to float within the organization as needed
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to patients with chronic and mixed-acuity medical conditions
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer oxygen therapy and support respiratory needs as ordered
• Maintain patient safety through isolation precautions and PPE best practices
• Recognize and escalate dysrhythmias or other urgent changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV, and rapid response support
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced PCU and stepdown environment
• Assist with unit flow by supporting float assignments as needed
