ICU Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU Travel Assignment in Columbus, Ohio

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse – Travel RN

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30)
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Patient Population: Adults
• Setting: Neuro Intensive Care Unit
• Floating: Required within equivalent or lower-acuity units as needed
• Weekend Coverage: Required, with weekend nights defined as Friday and Saturday
• Experience Required: 2 years of Neuro ICU experience

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• 2 years of Neuro ICU or critical care nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Strong skills in telemetry, ventilator care, ICP monitoring, and IV starts
• Experience caring for patients with invasive neuromonitoring equipment
• Ability to manage complex neurological and post-operative neurosurgical patients
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to adult Neuro ICU patients with stroke, seizure, traumatic brain injury, and neurosurgical diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilators, EVDs, ICP monitoring, and EEG support
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to patient needs
• Perform frequent neurological assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Support bedside procedures including tracheostomy, PEG, central line, and arterial line care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols for critical care management
• Float to other units within the organization as required based on staffing needs
• Adapt to a self-scheduling environment while meeting weekend and holiday expectations
