Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
• Location: Loveland, Colorado 80538
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Night shift, 19:00 - 07:00
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,180 - $2,290
• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend based on unit needs
• Call Requirement: 1 shift every 6 weeks
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: Provided at the start of the assignment
• Setting: Labor & Delivery / Women & Infant Services
• Float Requirement: May float to like units within the Women & Infants service line as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS, and STABLE certifications preferred/required per assignment needs
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Strong skills in labor support, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, and newborn assessment
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and call as scheduled
• Comfortable floating within the Women & Infants service line when needed
• First-time travel nurses may be considered if the candidate is a strong fit

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk births
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Support newborn transition, stabilization, and early family bonding
• Perform assessments, documentation, and patient education throughout the birth experience
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, phlebotomy, pharmacy, and other support services
• Assist with procedures and interventions such as IV management, blood product administration, magnesium sulfate therapy, and postpartum recovery care
• Maintain excellent communication with the care team and adapt to evolving unit needs
• Follow all facility guidelines, safety protocols, and patient care standards
