• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Day/Night rotating schedule with every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Orientation: Included prior to assignment start

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
• At least 2 years of bedside nursing experience required
• BLS certification from AHA
• Epic charting experience required
• Telemetry nursing experience and successful completion of a telemetry exam prior to start
• Ability to pass required screening and compliance requirements before the assignment begins
• Experience starting IVs required
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses
• Willingness to float as needed within appropriate units

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Med/Surg Tele RN for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings and dysrhythmias
• Administer medications and complete nursing assessments according to care plans and hospital protocols
• Start and maintain IVs while supporting vascular access needs
• Manage common med/surg interventions, including oxygen therapy, wound care, feeding tube care, and dysrhythmia monitoring
• Support patients with complex needs, including substance withdrawal and surgical drains
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, effective patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in Epic
• Provide compassionate care for special populations as assigned within the unit
• Float to appropriate areas as needed based on staffing and patient care needs
