• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Shift Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, rotating day/night coverage; primary shift days with rotating nights based on department needs
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: Required as scheduled
• Floating: May float within scope to IMC, CSU, telemetry, and cardiac surgical ICU for stable ICU patients
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850 - $1,950

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• CPI certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Comfort with high-acuity critical care and floating within scope
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a multi-specialty ICU environment
• Manage patients with complex conditions including sepsis, ARDS, cardiogenic shock, MI, chest pain, pneumonia, ventilator dependence, and post-operative critical care needs
• Administer and titrate pressors, sedatives, vasoactive infusions, and other critical drips per protocol
• Monitor and care for patients requiring vents, CRRT, IABP, and proning support
• Perform advanced ICU nursing skills such as arterial line care, central line management, blood product administration, EKG interpretation, and ventilator management
• Support safe patient flow by floating to related units within scope as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, IV team, and rapid response resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards for quality and patient safety
