Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN or surgical services experience required
• Experience in neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, or general/robotics/trauma procedures preferred
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Allscripts experience preferred; Altera experience also preferred
• Current certifications required for the role, including BLS and other OR-related credentials per facility guidelines
• Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only
• Must be able to complete all compliance items and lab work within the required timeframe

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room for a variety of surgical cases
• Support perioperative procedures in neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotic surgery
• Assist with craniotomy and burr hole cases while maintaining strict attention to detail and patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team to ensure efficient case flow
• Prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and monitor patients throughout the surgical process
• Document accurately in the charting system and communicate clearly with the care team
• Adapt to late days and call requirements as needed to support unit operations
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
