Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Travel Assignment – Abington, PA 19001

Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Perioperative RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Abington, PA 19001
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule
• Shift Duration: 10 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,620 - $2,760
• Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Services
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend every 6 weeks
• Schedule Notes: No floating and block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
• BSN required
• BLS certification required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to scrub a wide range of surgical specialties, including general, gynecology, genitourinary, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and robotic cases
• Experience with trauma cases required
• Experience in a Level II trauma environment required
• Strong familiarity with Epic preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room
• Scrub and assist with complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• Support efficient room turnover, sterile technique, and surgical workflow
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established OR protocols
• Prepare for and assist with trauma and advanced robotic procedures as needed
• Uphold patient safety standards, infection prevention practices, and universal protocol compliance
